The Nelson Figure Skating Club did not leave the Golden City empty handed as skaters captured a load of medals at the recent Rossland Mini Skating Competition.

Leading the medal haul were Morgan Sabo, Sophie Borhi and Rossalyn Carr, each scoring gold.

Sabo topped the pre-elementary ladies D competition while Carr was the absolute best in the pre-intro interpretive class.

Carr also managed to score a silver medal in junior bronze ladies category.

Borhi won the gold in the pre-preliminary ladies A.

No to be outdone was Daria Carr, winning the silver in the pre-elementary ladies A division.

Bronze medals were won by Soleil Babcock in pre-elementary ladies C; Shaen Panko-Dool in pre-preliminary ladies A and Anika Eppell in prelimary ladies 11-plus.

Other Nelson results had Courtney Shrieves fourth in pre-elementary ladies A; Charly Defouw fourth in pre-preliminary ladies A; Christina Champlin fourth in prelimary ladies 11-plus; Erica Tolles fourth in junior bronze ladies and Naomi Perkins sixth in junior bronze ladies.
